Back in July, I took a trip up to Tennessee to visit my brother, his wife, and their three children. Because we live so far away, it’s not often I get to see my babies, so I made sure to bring a camera along with me on the trip so I could snap some pictures. Of course, I call my niece and nephews my babies even though they are (almost) 8, 5, and 2. Hardly babies. However, since they are my first nephews and niece, they are forever doomed to being my babies 🙂 I love these kids so very much. We get to see each other about once a year, twice if we’re lucky, and I desperately wish I could see them more. They all change so much between the times that I see them. This blog post from my visit last year shows just how much they change from year to year!
This July was the third trip in what has become an annual summer visit my brother’s house. I love going up there. All we ever do if laugh, eat, laugh some more, and eat some more 😉 I love Chris and Stephanie and am so thankful for the time we do get to spend together, even if it is all too brief.
I also so love my babies! This is Emily, or Emme as we like to call her. She is 2 and 1/2 and is the cutest little thing I ever did see. She is still young enough to pose for me for more than 2 minute intervals, so you’ll see lots of her in this post.
This is Carter. He will be 8 in just a few days! He is kind, compassionate, so smart, a cuddler, sensitive (like his Aunt Lindsay!) and a soccer stud! And really, how can you not love this kid with all that red hair?!? And this Riley, or Rye as he is more affectionately know. Rye is 5, is so full of life, loves to tell you stories, is the rough and tumble kid (which leads to him tackling his little sister!), yet will stop whatever he’s doing just to tell you he loves you 🙂
My whole heart
