The older I get, the more I realize life can be messy. Things aren’t always perfect, things aren’t always what you hope and dream for them to be, and sometimes, things just downright don’t go your way. I’m learning that sometimes that’s just the hand life deals you. And the biggest lesson I take away from these times in life is it’s all in how you choose to handle yourself. When we were kids, we threw tantrums. Or at least I did. I was so that kid. I used to pitch a fit when my mom put my socks on the wrong way (right, mom?!!). But once we grow up, and it’s no longer acceptable to scream and cry while throwing our fists of fury in the air, it’s all about how we choose to negotiate life when it gets, well, messy.
For those of you who regularly check this blog, the following statement will be no surprise: it’s been ages since I last blogged. Not only has it been the slow season because of “winter” (which, here in Houston, means it got below 50 degrees!), but I’ve also taken some time to concentrate on my life outside of LPP. Sometimes it’s just good to reevaluate, reconnect, and recharge your batteries. However, the weather is changing, Spring is upon us, the green is coming back to mother nature, and wedding season is back in full swing. And since mother nature seems to have herself pulled together after a chilly winter, I figure I should do the same. So, check back soon and often for the latest happenings and some fantastic couples 🙂
For now, I leave you with this. He might look at hot mess with his bed head, but he’s my hot mess and I love him nonetheless!
Happy Tuesday!

“Oh, my friend,it’s not what they take away from you that counts. It’s what you do with what you have left”!!( a quote from Hubert Humphrey) And about those socks? We got thru it.. together!! Love you sweetie..

You were a wonderful and attentive photographer at Matt and Adrienne’s wedding this weekend (I am Matt’s sister’s partner 🙂 ) and I completely understand wanting a break after chasing after all of us. You and your sister are fabulous! — meaghan
