That’s right, it’s time to dust off the walking shoes for Houston’s Race for the Cure!! I walked last year as a proud member of Kristi’s Krew and am honored to walk again this year. Susan G. Komen is doing powerful things when it comes to funding breast cancer research, and I am so excited to be doing just a small part in that again this year. Last year was such a wonderful experience that I truly can’t wait to walk again this year. I am even more excited knowing this is Houson’s 20th year to be hosting a Race for the Cure!
Just as I did last year, I will be walking this year in honor of a family friend, Kristi Work, who lost her cancer battle in 2009, my wonderful aunt, Karen Little, who lost her cancer battle in 2004, and my grandma, Anne Barclay, who is a 19 year survivor!!
For more information on the race, how you can participate, or to donate to an amazing cause, go to Houson’s Susan G. Komen Website or leave me a comment on this post and I’ll get you the information. If you’d like to donate directly to Kristi’s Krew, you can do so by clicking here! Every little bit counts!
