Since it’s been a month since my last Favorite Things post, I’ve decided I’ll take this lovely Thursday here in Houston to post another one!
Here’s what I’m loving this week!
– my Skechers Shape Ups – If you have NO idea what I’m talking about, Skechers came out with a shoe that’s supposed to simulate walking in sand. It’s designed to improve your posture while giving you an extra little something (added calorie burn and muscle toning) while you’re walking. I realize I sound like an infomercial but my dad works for Skechers so I know all about their shoes. My pop got me a pair of Shape ups just a few weeks ago, and I’ve been wearing them on my nightly dog walking adventure. I’m not sure how many more calories I’m burning but they sure are fun to wear!!
– Chocolate covered pretzels. I realize this is somewhat ironic to list immediately after talking about my nightly walks and calorie burn, but what can I say, I have an obsession with chocolate. We’ve had the same bag of pretzels in our pantry for a little while and rather than see them go to waste, I made chocolate covered pretzels. I may or may not be eating some as I type this post.
– Good eye doctors. Truth: I wear contacts/glasses and without them, I’m blind as a bat. Like, can’t see 3 feet in front of me without some sort of corrective lens type blind. I’ve had trouble seeing as well as I’d like to lately so I went to a new eye doctor about it. Long story short – he did absolutely nothing for me except give me contacts I couldn’t see out of. I went to a new doctor and she fixed me up with a new prescription and some new contacts. Thank you Mrs. Eye Doctor for being helpful and allowing me to see again!!
– Books! Since summer is almost upon us…or if you live here in Houston, DEFINITELY upon us!!…I’ve picked up a couple of light summer reading books. You know, the kind of book you can lay on the beach and read…except I’ll be reading mine from the comfort of my couch. Either way, I’m looking forward to reading a few light-hearted chick lit books this summer!
And because no post is quite as much fun without a picture, here’s two of my new favorite photos I have. I had my sister take some new head shots of me for my website and the contact section of this blog, and just for fun I brought my baby dog Jackson. Love, love, love this little dog so much!
